Would anyone be keen on going for a left field option like Billy Slater or brad Fittler?

Big no to Brad fitler

I think he was way too young to coach at the Roosters, and had played there with most of those guys, when he was in charge. I’m not advocating for him here necessarily but I reckon he should get another shot somewhere if he wants it and would mostly be a guy star players would want to play for.

Our squad can’t cope with someone like Madge. Ricky is in his players faces far more often than Madge. Morris may go ok, he is young and probably speaks the same language as the modern day millennial footballer.

He was an amazing player but I do not think he has a very good knowledge of the game. State of origin is perfect for him as it is more about motivation and team building than being a good tactical coach and being knowledgeable about the game.

And if you have a real good tactical coach at Origin level ...you don't necessarily need to be good ......Hagan for Qld as an example

100% I would, I actually think he could be perfect for us. Sticky has overachieved for a long time down at Canberra and his ability to attract good players to the least attractive region in the NRL has been great. Stickys teams play to their strengths and he has shown the ability to adapt depending on his players. He has also done a good job of cleaning out rubbish in his squad. I think he is a better coach than given credit for.

Maybe not another 3 years, But if we exceed expectations and continue to see an improvement in Club culture, I would give Madge another year with the new players and a full squad.

You can't do that based on 1 good performance. At this stage yesterday was an anomaly. If we play like that consistently for another 5 or 6 weeks it might change my position but right now i'm still firmly in the sack Madge camp.

I keep focussing on our defence ...they don't hang in their in the 1st 20 like they did and late in the game when they were all seizing up with cramping if they aren't playing for the side and the coach ...yes Parra had 2 soft tries yesterday ...but we were probably a B defensively overall

I thought they played well yesterday, but one game doesn't make up for three and a bit years of decline. If they can do that repeatedly i'll change my view.

If you take out the Sharks game ( which after the Titans game was always going to be hard to get up for ....) the defence has been OK .....
