I hope the hold up appointing remaining independent directors is because of thorough due diligence and not politics by the usual suspects. If that white haired lounge singer is reappointed to the Board I am finished with this club.
If you are referring to Dennis Burgess, then you will be disappointed to hear that he was elected as Deputy Chair of the Holman Barnes Group.
im happy for him to select the light entertainment on stage at Ashfield. I do not want him anywhere near holding the CEO of the NRL entity accountable to his strategic plan.

Having seen his light entertainment choices at the club I’d also be skeptical of his ability there.
Very encouraging. Last game at CSS was a debacle getting in so the club goes out of its way to make it easier on game day. I am not used to this type of efficient management

Carayannis on SEN re Turuva to WT: “It’s done…they’ve come from the outside and usurped the Dragons, and surprised the Panthers. I think the Panthers thought that if Turuva was going to leave it would be to play fullback at the Dragons”
chairman Lee would have been talking about this on his radio slot for a month if he was still in charge. Pascoe would have been leaking that we have him and then he would have gone to Dragons for less.
Shane Richardson – Wests Tige – has been appointed as Wests Tigers CEO on a four-year deal commencing 2nd July 2024.
Richardson was appointed to the role on an interim basis in December, as part of sweeping changes to the club following an independent governance and culture review.
The former South Sydney, Panthers and Cronulla boss is committed to making a difference at Wests Tigers over the next few years.
“This is a fantastic opportunity for me to assist this club win its second premiership, and I look forward to working with Benji and the team to achieve that goal," Richardson said.
“Wests Tigers is a family club with fiercely loyal members and a huge supporter base.
“We’re on a journey, come with us.”
Interim Chair, Barry O’Farrell, says it was an easy decision to extend Richardson’s contract.
“Shane has done a tremendous job since taking over as Interim CEO, impressing supporters, staff & sponsors,” said O’Farrell.
It was a ‘no brainer’ for the board to secure his services for the future.

Excellent news… He must be happy with the progress of the Board.
