While I agree with the sentiment and goal of this article, it is really poorly written.

@garry Poorly written or not what the issue is for me is not what the Chairman or CEO were up to but what on hell was the board doing when all this was happening , this is a serious governance issue and 2 of these directors have been rewarded for there efforts or non efforts depending on how you see it ! I would imagine more scrutiny should be applied regarding the failures of the board in these instances..
I hope the hold up appointing remaining independent directors is because of thorough due diligence and not politics by the usual suspects. If that white haired lounge singer is reappointed to the Board I am finished with this club.
@snake well said snake totally agree!!! i dont believe it was a poorly written article, i actually found it very interesting and well written..
I agree with the takeaway of the article that we need to appoint the independent directors and extend Richo as quickly as possible.
However the article gets ownership structure of Wests Ashfield and the Wests Tigers completely wrong, this article actually decreases the responsibility of the Holman Barnes Group by reducing their share of the club considerably. This is all completely in HBG hands to implement.

If you are referring to Dennis Burgess, then you will be disappointed to hear that he was elected as Deputy Chair of the Holman Barnes Group.

Yeah, I feel the same way.

im happy for him to select the light entertainment on stage at Ashfield. I do not want him anywhere near holding the CEO of the NRL entity accountable to his strategic plan.

Yes, very different skills required to run a leagues club compared to a professional sporting organisation.
Gary Barnier was confident that the changes would be implemented when he spoke at the Ambush event.

That's great news. To echo the sentiments in the last couple of pages, I think I'd be done with the club for the foreseeable future if they somehow shunned the proposed changes from here.
If Burgess and Romero conspire to force Richardson out, the club would be in a truly awful position.
The reality is they won’t let it happen.
If Richo walks then HBG have got to organise a whole new board. They surely wouldn’t know where to start with that exercise. They couldn’t re-appoint themselves. No reputable administrators would want to come near the WT.
If Richo leaves I’ll add my name to the list of members on this forum who will walk away.
I am confident that the recommendations will be implemented, does that mean Richo will stay? I hope so.

I too want Richo to stay for a while and continue with his cleaning up of poor governance. This is the time we need strong leadership to implement the changes needed.
if Richo does leave for souths, I would still support the club.
