So, these clowns would seek a review, and likely not follow the advice?
Such a WT outcome 🤦♂️

I don't know to be honest mate, I'm guessing a little. I probably should be a bit fairer to them considering they commissioned the report, they deserve the opportunity to implement the recommendations before I say they will be reluctant to implement them. So I'll take that back.

Guys, I feel some of you on here were in fact the agitators which led to this Review, and I'll always be grateful to you, because the Club has an opportunity to amend the flaws in it's structural governance, and possibly change the current decision makers, who seem to get it wrong so often.
I have a question, and it's not "What do you want the outcome to be" but " What do you think the outcome will be"
Cheers
My expectation is that the recommendations will call for a change in the governance structure of the club, the make up of the board etc, similar change to what was floated in the Webster article today.
I also expect that there will be a reluctance to change from the Holman Barnes Group, there may be a need for further action to see significant change implemented.
My understanding is there isn’t really a mechanism for further action if Holman Barnes dig there heels in.

You are right, the decision sits firmly with the Holman Barnes Group. That doesn't mean that further pressure can not be applied if needed though.
But as I said in my previous post, the Holman Barnes Group deserve the opportunity to implement the recommendations from the review.

I agree they need the opportunity to act. Personally how they respond to these recommendations will be the factor in if I continue as a member or not for 2024

Does anyone know who the 20 debenture holders of Holman Barnes are (besides the current directors presumably) and how the debentures are bought and sold? I note it looks like David Gilbert acquired his debenture as recently as 2019, while others have held them for much longer (1996)?

It's always a good time to make good changes.
I do think there's an argument for staging the implementation though.
I would suggest:
1. New board as the priority (getting skills based members is critical)
2. Football GM (this was needed 2 years ago, Betsey is interim, we need the new board selecting this role not the current board)
3. CEO let the new board see Pascoe in action then determine if he's up to the task, move him to a CFO role or move him on. We need the new board selecting the new CEO

I like it Frullens if we can trust that the new board. I also think that the Tigers brand stinks so bad that we are at the point where we do need some optics to polish the brand and encourage confidence. Board changes arent particularly visible and if Pascoe & Lee survive it is going to look like business as usual.
I think Pascoe has been here long enough to show he's not up to the task. Also, he couldn't do a CFO role at all. Pascoe is a marketing guy through and through, he's not a finance guy.https://www.2gb.com/the-chairman-will-go-out-swinging-chaos-continues-at-the-wests-tigers/

Honestly, I can see the logic of keeping Pascoe on if making big changes to the board. Corporate memory is important in an organisation and if you change the majority of the board and CEO at the same time you lose that.

Pascoe should not have survived the Farah episode let alone be given another chance to prove himself. It’s like we have a co-dependent relationship with this turkey.
