Where is Tommy Talau?
Never appears on the sidelines at home games with other injured players. He was playing his 50th game when he blew his knee and I think there is value in keeping him even after an ACL.
I do worry that the club might have cut him adrift because he is off contract at the end of this season. At the very least if he can get back out on the field and play 10 games or so we will know where we stand.
Does anyone have news?

When you watched the Wests Tigers mini drama last season ...You watch how often Madge is talking to Talau at HT in games ...I think he has a lot of time for him and sees him as a long burn ...someone if you put the time and effort into you will see the rewards in the future
Tommy Talau underwent facial surgery today and miss 3-4 weeks with a broken nose.
Ken Maumalo is set to return next weekend from an MCL injury sustained in the trials.
Daine Laurie has a low grade MCL injury and will miss 1-2 weeks.
Jake Simpkin is on concussion protocol and no timeframe has been established for his return.
That sounds nasty for Tommy. I won't hold my breath waiting for apologies from the members of the NRL media who piled into him.

the more the merrier in my view, either they brain it and we all rave about them and we have more competition for first grade positions, or they show glimpses and head back to reggies with a good idea of what it takes to be a NRL player, or they show nothing and we show them the door....this is the season to do it.Sione, kit, who else are we going to see in first grade over the next month?
