Politis can moan all he likes. Fortunately the State Gov owns the Stadium. The Roosters deal is non-exclusive so stiff if other NRL teams get to play there.

PS it’s operated by the Sydney Cricket Ground Trust.

It is under control of venues NSW like the other state owned stadiums in NSW. The government have supported the Roosters claim by refusing to let Souths transfer their deal there, Souths have not even been allowed to train at the SFS.

The SCG Trust merged with Venues NSW, it is all one body now.

Yeah but the SFS is owned by the people of NSW, not Politis.

Looks like the operators are giving it to the Roosters.

If there are votes in it, they will give it to anyone.

Doesn't seem that way, they are blocking other teams playing there.

lol, blocking? Not quite. Trying to intimidate yes, but that won’t work once political pressure is applied. The one thing the Gov can’t be seen to have done is under-utilised a multi-million dollar investment by the people of NSW. Especially since the Gov won’t fund other re-developments. The SFS needs to be used and frequently. Politis can put any spin he likes on the situation but the reality is the SFS is owned by all the people of NSW, not just one very small segment of the population.

No they haven’t. Politis is spinning that is  exclusive a Roosters ground. It isn’t. Souths have a pretty strong case too seeing Stadium Australia will no longer be re-developed. Pressure will continue to mount on the Gov.

Can’t wait until the Souths army marches on Macquarie Street. The lawyers will get involved. The Souths contact for Stadium Australia is null and void because no re-development took place. Regardless after the next State election the SFS will be available. The incoming Labour Gov won’t stand for any crap from Politis.

Its not run by the SCG Trust, the stadium is owned and run by NSW Govt (Venues NSW https://www.venuesnsw.com/venues/allianz-stadium). The land it sits on is owned by SCG Trust. The Trust actually wanted to build the new stadium on Kippax Lake (where the parking is) but that land is owned by Moore Park and Centennial Park Trust. SCG Trust tried to get the NSW govt to force the land to them. Was pretty grubby.

It’s not exclusive. They have the facilities there but that’s it.

I dont think that is right. For one the nature of Trust is that it cant be sold or merged. I could be wrong but I think Venues NSW operates the SCG for the Trust.
