I’d like to echo the comments of some of you guys - if we move to SFS I’m buying a ticketed membership that day.

It looks amazing, that’s the venue that boosts our image ten fold.

I'd be happy to align ourselves with the Inner City/ out to say Auburn area.

I think it's time to leave the Campbelltown area and concentrate on the above areas.

As an old Magpies supporter, I'm happy to now let it go for the better good of the Wests Tigers.

We have to establish an Identity and having to try and placate 2 separate areas is not working.

The area is separated by intervening Clubs territories, eg, Parramatta, Bulldogs and to try and ignore that is madness.

I'd be happy with an SFS move......

I disagree with this and Im from the Balmain side of history. I can see the fact that we have struggled to attract crowds to Campbelltown since inception and Magpies did before that, but it is too big and important area to abandon for the sake of something as ephemeral and vague as "identity". Our link to that area is an asset. Its not translating to crowds or wins but there is a large chunk of population there, and a very large Polynesian population out there. If we abandon it, we will be toast IMO.

A LARGE chunk of any future potential recovery let alone success is going to be home grown juniors and to abandon such a large and potentially rich source of junior talent would be self harm.

You don’t have to abandon the juniors in the south west but you can still have the home ground as the SFS. The two are not mutually exclusive. You can still build relationships in the south west, go to schools, have clinics, as well as building an academy in the south west.

I’d like to know from those not too interested in the SFS what their optimum home ground solution looks like given that there’s no upgrade currently proposed for either LO or CSS.

My order of preference would be

LO/CSS split with CSS rebuilt or largely upgraded (I'd commit to playing more games there as a process to trying to get funding)

CommBank

SFS

Hell

ANZ

In the absence of an upgrade playing the majority of our games at LO and CSS would be commercial suicide for the club.

LO is literally a death trap and there’s no evidence we have a significant number of fans in the Macarthur.

Also I’m interested why CommBank is above SFS.

It's not in the Eastern Suburbs and is the right size.

Parramatta is not a better location than Moore Park for attracting fans.

The SFS capacity is only 15k higher than CommBank and acoustically designed to maximise the atmosphere with smaller crowds.

Yeah.....that'll work, and I can not imagine that Bulldogs, Parra, Penrith, Manly (Blacktown Sports) would rape and pillage at all.

I don't think a side called Wests should be playing in the Eastern Suburbs.

@garry it’s the 21st century mate. Think we have to move forward. Neither Leichardt or Campbelltown stack up and the moneys not going that way anyways anymore. Probably comm bank might be better, but just get it done!! Surely they know what way they have to go.

@garry No the politicians don’t want South’s there as it just highlights the failure of not remodelling ANZ as ANZ will become a white elephant.

Just think of them as the ‘Sydney Tigers’.. Maybe that will get you in the mindset required… lol

There were articles in the paper today about the Roosters not wanting Souths at the SFS.

Might work, without the other 8 Sydney teams.

This type of parochialism will kill the club

@garry When you walk through the gate at the SFS just think of them like that. The rest of us will cope with the Wests part…😂😂😂

So true. If we were the Campbelltown Tigers I can see the point. Our name ‘Wests’ is extremely vague at best. Add that in with the 70 years of Wests being inner west, and 90 years of Balmain being a stones throw from the city I don’t think it’s that big an issue.

So lets just have 9 Sydney teams all the same.
