The Bulldogs game on a wet Friday probably gets to 25k at SFS (more bulldogs fans and more people who would attend if they arent getting wet).

assuming they make $10 per person that’s another 100k to the club. That could be another development officer in SW Sydney

No way that game gets 25k at the SFS

If the teams were doing better you’d get that easy.

These clubs have played 40 times and cracked 25k 5 times and none of them were at 6pm on a Friday

Sample of 1 but if I could take my kids to a game with good transport, comfortable seating and nice catering I would have taken them to a Friday 6pm game because I could still get them to bed at a reasonable time and they would get to experience a night game.

I honestly get all those at LO

Now scale that to 40k seats for people that haven’t had a lock on the best seats at LO for the past 30 years

That is a valid point, shame there isn't a stadium like that in an appropriate location.

Like a stadium next to the cross section of the entire railway, metro and highway system?

I parked closer than I do at both Stadium Australia and the SFS for free, had a feed at the Orange Grove, sat in the best seats in football.  Was back to my car 15 mins after the game and was on the M4 within 10 mins of starting to drive. All with an almost sell out crowd.

I still can’t stop laughing.., Orange Grove is not Leichhardt Oval. While you may have been able to get away that was not the majority experience. The coppers were still directing traffic up to at least an hour after the game, albeit with a smile on there face (I think they were closet supporters). The transport in/out of Leichhardt is an issue and that is just with 15K attendance.

Then you need to find better places to park, I don't find the parking to be an issue at LO and have found it much worse at Stadium Australia and and the Sydney Football stadium.

Me and about 10K others I suppose. Too funny.

I’ve got to say I’ve been going to Leichhardt oval for 45 years. I find the parking easy every time but I do get there early. Never have a problem getting away, in fact much easier than Homebush. Food is rubbish sure but so is my $25 plain burger and chips at Bankwest

Wait until the SFS is commissioned. You will be amazed.

Amazed at? The parking will still be rubbish

The facilities, food, seats, toilets. Never had a problem parking at Moore Park. As well as Moore Park there heaps of places within walking distance. Or just use Public Transport to the door, or walk up from Central. Moore Park is a transport hub.

You know my problem with the SFS, you don't agree with them but that doesn't make them any less valid. We might as well stay at CommBank then share with other clubs in the Eastern Suburbs.

It’ll get pretty lonely at Parramatta Stadium.

LO is 9km from the SFS and 22km from Commbank stadium. I honestly don’t get the argument that “we may as well play at parra if you want to play at SFS”. When Balmain played at Parramatta stadium we averaged 6k per game, at SFS we averaged 18k. Even assuming they are equal stadiums now don’t the numbers infer that the SFS is more accessible/preferable to Tigers fans?
