The best thing for our club is to create a situation where young / local player aspire to play for the Tigers rather than go to melb, Roosters manly etc.

This is certainly not the case today.

It all starts with identity.

Campbelltown is a growing area. No brainer.

I said not sure - because it depends if CS is redeveloped/upgraded into a 30k stadium.

If so - then yes

If not - then no

If its not upgraded what should we do?

If it's never going to be upgraded then it changing the strategy completely.

We are a professional NRL team.eho needs a professional NRL stadium -

We need to have a stadium where we can average 25-30k a year when we are in the 8

So if a new stadium isn't built at CS or Liverpool.

We need to play 8 games (ideally all v Sydney clubs) at either bankwest, homebush or sfs.

With 2 at CS and LO each

(In this scenario we can't spread ourselves to magic round and tamworth)

Regarding which stadium?

1. Homebush better location but bad atmosphere

2  SFS better size and atmosphere but in inner city away from our growth area

3. WSS is better size and atmosphere but too aligned with Parramatta

Of these three I think WWS. It is the one closets to our growth area, with the right size and fan atmosphere.

I honestly think the main issue with this stadium is currently Parramatta is going well and currently we aren't. If it was flipped, we could own the joint and pack it out.

Really good post mate, very well said.

If we make the 8 for 2 years in a row, we will show we are a bigger club than Parramatta. And we can dominate the WSS and make Parramatta feel like their playing at the Wests Tigers Stadium.

But seriously, key decisions like homegroudns need to be made from an overall strategy or vision. If we are basing ourselves as a truly western Sydney club with our future in the South West, we need to play at the best stadium located as close to that area - which at the moment is WSS.

Nope, WSS is built for the media, the fans are second class there. WSS would be the the worst home ground ever. It is Parramatta Stadium, let’s not pretend it’s anything else.

The club did a good job getting government support for the COE. Let’s hope that they are working behind the scenes on getting council/state government support and commitment for CCS investment before we go all in

Yep, need a winning team, that is for sure.

If we win games any ground will do the job.

When we are winning you could play at 12 home grounds...

What if?

what if no upgrades happen at LO and CSG? You still get roughly 5k (average) at each ground if we are losing and 15k if we win consistently. Limited crowd capacity (20k) for a winning team.

What if Homebush stadium doesn’t get an upgrade? You still get 5k if we are losing but >15k if we are winning. Huge capacity for a winning team.

I’ve been to one Homebush game v Bulldogs (away game for us) it wasn’t the best atmosphere but if we had of won it would’ve been great.

Parramatta Park - no thanks.

The Wests Tigers have to make a decision on a future home ground based on what ground has the best chance of a major future upgrade.

I think Homebush has the best chance of a major upgrade from any future state gov’t. More money will be spent there than either LO or CSG.

Oh dear looking at Leichhardt tonight it is a very sad site portable toilets on the hill / timber bench seating and when the 17k are in the ground 50% are standing on grass and  $40 for the privilege! The talk of making this venue more of a home ground leaves a lot to be desired .The top clubs are playing out of modern stadiums that offer all the ammenities that is expected this day and age .The club can not be seriously considering Leichhardt or Campbelltown as I have constantly expressed they hold 17k to 18k capacity which means on any given game day the majority of the supporter base is locked out! as one poster has already stated ANZ has the best averages of all the mentioned grounds .The talk of the club going to Campbelltown will be the death knell of the club just as it was to the Magpies. If these grounds are the options that the club is presenting for the future that is a major concern !

Yep, I might be just getting old but ANZ is a far more comfortable and stress free option for me. I value being able to know where I’m sitting, if it’s undercover and being able to properly plan out my transport options. I love Leichhardt but it’s not fit for purpose as a main home any longer. Campbelltown full time is an option but there is risk there for sure.

I look at it this way. I haven't taken anyone to the football since we stopped playing out of Stadium Australia. LO and CSS are really sub par. LO is like a third world country ground and CSS is only slightly better. They are both not suitable in the 21st century and just not acceptable for a new generation of fans (not fans that have been brought up in a Rugby League household). Assume none of the grounds (LO or CSS) will be upgraded (and I don't believe they ever will) and Liverpool is not built (I don't believe it ever will either). Which ground do you prefer? I cannot support Parramatta Stadium, besides the location its not built for fans. That leaves the SFS or Stadium Australia. My preference at the moment is Stadium Australia but I am really looking forward to checking out the new SFS. Given the limitation criteria (no new stadium or upgrades) which ground would people really prefer the new SFS or Stadium Australia?

So you’d prefer to sit in the sun all day, all presentations and entertainment with their back to you at Parramatta Stadium. OK.

This will never end..Fans as a whole can not agree one way or the other..it's bordering on the Great Brooks debate..

Whatever decision the Club makes (this will be a Board decision just remember)..it will be wrong..

Mark my words

Over Stadium Australia and the SFS yes. They are not appropriate choices.
