Stunned.
Never met Geo but with some you get a sense of the person they are through their posts. Geo was always respectful. I never saw him having a crack at anyone and was always one of the first to try to diffuse a situation with some humour. Confident in saying he was a great bloke. So sorry for his family and friends. Its a weird thing that we are all linked tenuously for this brief stretch of time together on this rock.

Even more weird when that link is some information transmitted across the internet. The effects that Geo had for people who had never met him show the benefits of some of our modern technology.

I just logged on to post about this after reading this on the other forum. It hurt hearing Geo had passed. It hurt because he was a top guy.
I didn’t know Geo well but got to know him in person through our work with The Ambush and in meetings we have had with the club. Geo was quiet but when he spoke it was with knowledge and purpose. He knew footy and he knew footy clubs. I found him to be quite wise and a calming influence. He was one of the good guys.
Rest easy Geo

Very well said mate. So many times I would go on one off my long winded spiels and Geo would either sum it up or shut it down in 2 sentences. His knowledge of the history and the structure of the Wests Tigers will be missed massively in our community.

What sad news to wake to🥲🥲Condolences to his family and friends. He will be sorely missed.
Hey Geoff
Going to miss all the fun and banter we had on all the comps like Predict 6 ....Fantasy League and Tipping comps and all the fun with Hobbo , ForeveraTiger and I
And all the talk about the Wests Magpies , Wests Tigers , SOO ....
But most of all I will miss you ...you were a great friend and kept me sane
To your family and friends ...my deepest condolences ....if we can do anything to help please ask
Your WT's brother in arms
Andrew
Such sad news. I always enjoyed his witty posts and how he showed respect to other forum users.

He knew how to wind you up mate. Was always in good humour though. Just a little comment to get you going lol. He did it well.
RIP fellow Wests Tigers supporter Geo,
Condolences to the family
Oh no... Geo has always been a poster I admired. I think you can tell a lot about a person when you've read several thousand of their posts over many years... I will forever know of him as witty, intelligent and fair through his posts on both forums - in particular the other forum where his well chosen words could be like a much needed fire extinguisher in some threads.
He will leave a void on both forums that is likely never to be filled. The forums were definitely a better place with Geo's input and guidance.
But what we feel will surely pale against the loss being felt by those family and friends closest to him. To you all, I offer my sincere and heartfelt condolences.
Ian
As a person who prefers to read posts from others on this forum rather than post many of my own I always enjoyed reading Geo's posts probably more than any others. Not sure why that is, maybe because I just liked the spirit in which he participated in debate. I never met him or even engaged him on here but he still made an impression on me. I would've liked to have met him. Thoughts and love to his family and friends.
It would be nice if someone close to the club could see if a 'Geo' jersey could be arranged for the funeral. I'd be happy to chip in a few bucks if the club doesn't want to memorialise one of their most solid fans. Could go to his family afterwards.

I've been in contact with the club and they were going to contact Geo's family today
