I think you should be a member if you care about the club. A non ticketed member is $75. For most that is something that is achievable. If you can’t afford it fair enough. If you can, you should be a member.
I became a member for the first time this year after the review.
Living in Melbourne, and under the old regime, membership seemed like a stretch for not much reward.
But now I'm a paid up member - and excited to see where the club is going.
Surely we'll get all party 10k after the review?
Top 8 2023
I would set up a junior academy at campbletown and for the next 5 years or so split games
CSS 7
LO 4
no regional game
What do you do for easter monday games?
play that one game at Accor or SFS
so go
CSS 6
LO 4
Accor / SFS 1
Magic Round 1
@jedi-tiger The club has made a huge mistake by putting all there eggs into 2 x suburban grounds that are not fit to host NRL… if the team hits its straps 16k attendance is a joke and again locking its supporters out and loosing heaps of revenue .The two individuals that made this decision are gone and hopefully in the not to distant future so will these two grounds ,hopefully the CEO will rectify this and guide the club out of the living in the past mentality .The new membership numbers are a concern not to be unexpected .
I think a redeveloped CSS is a pipe dream safe Labor seat
I think LO redevelopment is also a pipe dream safe greens seat
I would love the club to tell us a breakdown of how many LO memberships and how many Campbletown and how many are dual.
Well sounds like the answer is 'not enough' for both (Even if the split was 100% to one ground)
I.e even if LO got at 7000 members and CSS got none. That doesn't make LO superior, because 7000 members is so low you should fold.
Kind of gives Richo a blank sheet and the all clear to just make the best strategic decision for the club
what it means is if you did have of those 7000 members 5000 were just LO/ dual and you have a big vacuum that could leave the club.
As you are an out of town member mate not sure if you experienced trying to get a season ticket at LO I had to get a family of 4 which I had for 5 years and add one extra ticket in the LO stand. Joel at membership department had to search high and low and had to split the seats up and he was saying we have 20 year members from interstate and all they have is LO seats and hold on to them so they don't lose them
As for CSS members it didn't work for Magpies in the 90's not sure the demographic out there will all be membership based. I would take up dual membership like I do know but not sure all will do that.
I would like the club to release the membership breakdown
This just goes to show the integrity of the past administration.

We're gonna get more and more of this as the year goes on. Really makes you wonder what on earth they were doing at Concord for the last decade.

I think they were well intentioned, but lacking in skills, experience and ability to succeed.

Inflating figures so you look like you are doing your job is never a good idea. I much prefer Richo’s approach. Real paying members, ticketed or non-ticketed, as long as they have paid a membership they are members.not a fan of Lee but....
interesting Richo comments about memberships and it is all ok because it is Richo
When Lee said the same thing re members he got hammered by some fans
memberships (even non ticketed) are key for Tigers moving forward.
while they are at it if they are bringing back alumni from 25 years we can start to drop off the balmain and wests former players like elias jack roach etc and also have nsw cup branded as wests tigers
richo is giving us some tough love. He is saying that we need paid up members to get ourselves out of this hole we are in (he says south’s are about $3m per year better off than us because of membership alone). Yes it could be taken as offensive to a long suffering fan to be told their view doesn’t matter if they arent a member but this guy knows what needs to be done and wants to do it quickly. Would people rather he just didn’t tell us that membership numbers were atrocious and a serious limitation on the resourcing of the club? The times for “good news only” are finished. We need shock therapy.

I agree with you and I think "so called" fans need to stop being so precious. Ticketed membership costs the same or less than going to the game, non ticketed membership costs $75.00. Richo is right
@tiger5150 Spot on Richo is correct, unfortunately you are never going to be a family as he puts it when the family is continually divided by multi home grounds . The supporters of the club have to show there support by becoming at least a non ticket member not much to ask… and you do get the supporters pack and the benefits that it offers which is good value.
@frullens Just watched the Pod and Richo is impressive ! straight talker no crap what a breath of fresh air . Will be interesting to see the strategic plan and watch as it is implemented. The review obviously laid bare the real state of the club’s operations hence the quickness of change !
The answer is Stadium Australia and lobby the government for changes to a more rectangular structure with a roof.
I listened to the podcast with Richo while on my regular morning walk in Sharks territory and just as Richo mentioned people who support other clubs also want Tigers to do well (I was earing my members cap as always) a random fella walked past me and said, Hope you have a better year" . It actually happens quite a bit. Even got some encouragement for the season from Gavin Miller once. He always has his Sharks cap on.
Show your stripes!!!!

if we go to stadium Australia (never a chance until richo came along) then every junior tigers player (9000) should get free admission with a free adult to accompany them. I’ve never really understood the economics of these big stadiums ie is is better to have more people if not paying just to boost sales of food and beverage?
And if we do stadium Australia we have to cancel all games at LO and CSS. No heritage games to allow people to keep to their historical enclaves. One home ground.
@tigertownsfs Memberships low as this highlights that historical enclaves are not a real issue to many supporters ..you can pack a picnic lunch and go to Leichhardt any day of the week it’s a park oval now and take in as much tradition as you like ! One of the three stadiums the choice is there .
