@garry Did they say anything about an official opening? What plans they have in that regard? Or is it just a case of moving in without any fanfare. I see it as symbolic of a new era for the club, so much going on seems like a way to celebrate what we hope will bring positive change.Β
@russtutty63 There is going to be some kind of grand opening, but I have a feeling that won't be until the off season. I must say the place is so impressive. I was so excited looking at it. Our tour was with Justin Pascoe and Tim Sheens.

In hindsight, I think moving on Madge was probably the right idea, but I cant help but feel bad that Madge got to coach the whole time out of the demountable watching it built and Sheens will walk into it. Might be a metaphor.

Funny little incident from last night. There is both a coach and a director of football offices. We asked Tim who they belonged to, his response was they are both mine, I might knock a hole in the wall.

Maybe Iβm seeing things but I think every individual player is playing better now Madge is gone. I hope we continue to develop this second phase play that was a big part of our game last weekend

Last couple of weeks definitely better, maybe Sheens has taken the reins a little?

@snake You are right, I have been a bit slack.

Steve and I headed in for a tour on Thursday night and I must say the place is really impressive. I was allowed to take picture but I am not allowed to publish them so we will have to get by with a description of the COE. We were lucky enough to have both Justin Pascoe and Tim Sheens there for the tour. The player facilities are beyond belief, even just the change rooms there is no detail left unaccounted for, each player has a draw beneath their bench for their boots that dries their boots. This is in both the separate male and female change rooms, each players name is on their locker etc A giant Wests Tiger is on the floor of both change rooms. Outside the changerooms is the lap and rehab pool, again a huge club logo is on the wall in the tiles.
Β
Further down the hall is the gym, with everything Wests Tigers branded, their is even a huge wrestling mat to one side. Even the individual weights are branded with the club logo and logos are on the floor in front of each piece of equipment. Tim Sheens was raving about the gym and the equipment they have access to.
Β
Upstairs are the offices, separate offices for the CEO, Head Coach, Coaching Director and Recruitment managers, the football staff have an office together and then their is a big office for the Administration staff. Outside of this their is an interior wall that contains images and descriptions of about 20 Wests Tigers, Balmain and Wests former players, these are large images and shows a lot of respect to the history of our club and its parent clubs.
Β
Across from this is the Boardroom, contains a 13 person desk and all the features you would expect of a corporate Boardroom, again the Wests Tigers logo is displayed in the wood paneling on the wall. Next to this is the meeting and video room with tiered seating with each seat displaying the Wests Tigers logo. Finally was the shared kitchen for staff and players, similar to what you would find in a lot of modern workplaces with a balcony and BBQ outside over looking the training field.
Β
Their will be a cafe going in that is currently out for tender that is open to the public and over looks the training field and Tim was saying fans will be welcome at training sessions to grab a coffee and sit in the stands to watch.
Β
I think I got most of it, lol

I did forget the media centre they have there that has a desk to host broadcasts, maybe we could do a pod from the media centre or something at some point as well.
Β
A preseason launch at the COE for the Ambush might work well.

Is there a Jealosy Emoji?
@russtutty63 Likewise. Looking forward to relaxing in the coffee shop while watching the team train. Could be a popular pastime. They may need to sell tickets.. lol
