A question I have. When they are discussing the Coaching staff, who is the "Shop" or Chop" that they are talking about? Klem says this bloke coached him at high school. I know Dene Halatau's nickname is shop but I dont think it is him.

How the bloody hell can it be called ‘Ask the Boss’ when it’s the boss asking the questions?? And please guys, lapel mics instead of trying to speak across/off mic with the desk microphones. It could be so much better.

Funny timing....
Im genuinely not having a go at anyone here or their opinions, but......I actually bumped into Pascoe this morning at Cammeray. My immediate thought was that here is a human being who has achieved things in his life, gotten to a certain position. Has his life in shape. Is presumably carrying out his role to the best of his ability and presumably with best intentions. He has the support of the most important people presumably being the board and immediate staff (Sheens, players (?) etc). I have no doubt he is and has done some great things in his role and I have no doubt there are things that he and others could have done differently or better.
At the same time there is a place (the internet) where anonymous people (myself included) who may or may not have their lives together or have the same skills, abilities or achievements feel absolutely no issue with pouring their derision, scorn and criticism on every part of the bloke down to his hair and clothes (both of which look fine today).
Again, this is genuinely not having a go at anyone here but there is something about real life that is....I dont know.......real, and a pretty stark contrast against the internet.

Yes, true. But, no one is saying he’s a bad person or anything like that. His appearance is consistently shabby and this doesn’t send the right message about himself or the club. In regards to criticism of his decisions and leadership, fair game as far as I’m concerned.

I’ve had a fair bit to do with Justin. He’s a good bloke with absolutely great intentions. He constantly speaks of members and fans and wants the best for them/us.
He thinks through issues and asks others opinions. I think he’s done some good things and is building a good football department.
The ‘scriptedness’ and seeming lack of transparency, I think, comes from a defensiveness that has built up based on the constant scrutiny the club, and Justin himself, are put under. It borders on hysteria at times. Sometimes he and the club deserve the sprays, often they don’t.
Sure, he’s probably well paid and has to cop what Gomes with the job but I reckon it gets to him and he becomes guarded and defensive. They’ve been times that has frustrated me but I completely get it. Just my thoughts.

It’s reasonable to have an opinion on the communication delivery. Nothing wrong with Ask the Boss…some just find Pascoe off putting and I maintain he is not the person who should be hosting it. Amateurish.
