At the moment we have 7 players signed for 2024:

  • Apisai Koroisau 24 & 25 (mo)
  • Zane Musgrove 24
  • David Nofoaluma 24 & 25
  • Isaiah Papali'i 24 & 25
  • Jake Simpkin 24
  • Junior Tupou 24
  • Alex Twal 24

Other than Stefano (aka The Ute) who is the absolute priority, who are 5 players from our current squad you'd prioritise to get a contarct extension to 2024?

I could almost legitimately say Im not fussed with anyone else other than Ute, but maybe Laurie & Douiehi. No one else Im fussed about.

Really?! Wow, fair enough - I guess players need to earn it.

I think if we are to be successful we need to have built a strong squad that's consistent, but then bring in some young up and comers and also so top elite players.

I'd say:

- Blore

- AD

- Laurie

- Tuilagi

- Hastings

I still think Tuilagi and Hastings have to prove they are genuine NRL players but I agree with the 1st 3.

Apart from Stef I’d be disappointed if we didn’t retain AD and maybe Laurie and Blore. Otherwise not fussed at all.

I really like Laurie and Blore, I want them long term at the club. Especially be nice if they go to a high level to rub Panthers faces in it lol.

Apart from Stef, the rest need to show more than potential. We need to keep in mind next wave of potential talent. Will they be better then what we have.

@helmesy

I hope so.

He has the potential, needs consistent games to find his feet.

He often overran his runs and didn't have the timing right with brooksy. Which is something I hope will be fixed through the off-season.

He's big and strong and confident and a competitor.

I much rather blore in 2nd row than garner.

The same can almost be said for Tuilagi, except he seemed to be more ready for first grade. Played I think 5 games and scored 2 tries.

Again, I'd rather Tuilagi in there competing than Lucy who has a string effort followed by a couple of lazy efforts.

Would be keen to see Blore and Tuilagi start with Lucy of the bench. Garner to reserves.

Plan for the future.

Yep, Luciano is not an 80 minute player.
