I dont think we'll have the same 6 and 7 all season.
It will swap around, based on form, injury or fitness.
We'll probably see all combinations at some point.
I think the past mistakes was to have 2 young halves with no senior half to come in when needed.
I see the benefit of Sezer playing a lot of games as a senior and experienced half
but given he's not in the picture next year, I don't see the benefit in him playing every game this season
The benefit is he will be good for the development of the younger half.
In memory of Geoff Chisholm (1965-2022)
Yes but Benji needs to find out which younger half should be developed to pair with Laui next year.
In which case they all need some NRL time, at some point in the season.
Given Sullivan sees himself as a 7, you'd think he'd get a run at 7 over Sezer at some point

Trials and training make a large part of that, you don't trial players in NRL games.

would love for round 2 for benji to go with
7. Galvin
6. Fainu
No way, would be repeating past mistakes.
sezer can do all the "mentoring" on the training paddock, blood the young guys we have luai next year anyway
No chance of Galvin and Fainu.

I'm ok with that, I don't care about being wrong lol, but I think there is zero chance of Galvin and Fainu in round 2.

If Benji selects Galvin and Fainu in the halves round 2, its going to be a wild ride for the season.
I don't think I have eagerly anticipated the start of a season as much as this one...so many possibilities, especially in our halves, I don't think we have ever gone into a season with this many options, albeit all very inexperienced bar one. I am keen to see them all do well, however I am secretly rooting for Galvin to do a Bula and show his massive potential in his first few games. The fact the squad are all together away from home for a week prior to the game can only be a good thing to build morale and combinations (fingers crossed no wrestling at 1am).
What are peoples opinions on the first trial team that was named.
Few blokes on that extended bench that I don't know much about.
Once again I am interested in how well we defend. Word is that Morris has completely changed our defensive system.
Wait, we had a defensive system in 23? Could have fooled me
Yeah, Apparently it was called the passive-aggressive system
