any truth to the rumour Nofo staying in Melbourne?

My understanding is he will be returning as planned. Hopefully with a fresh approach to professionalism

More humble? More professional? It’s hard to know what a better attitude actually means.
Wests Tigers Podcast - Talking everything Wests Tigers!
The more failure we have the less interest and enthusiasm I have.... Though that will all change with some success and at the very least players showing they give a stuff and are having a crack.
I'm reminded of the Brisbane win.... I soaked everything up... Watched all the post game chat and looked forward to the reviews the next day, was posting about the game positively and generally feeling really good (it was the only time this year)... So yeah some success I think will pick us all up
We need to go into games with the attitude that we can win. That needs to be retained throughout the game even when things go against us. Anything less will be a major disappointment and a failure IMO.
Attitude is something we lacked badly this year, in fact, the attitude of our players both on the field and in interviews off the field was nothing short of abysmal (with a few exceptions). During the off season, attitude and professionalism should be addressed as first priority.
I did some review of the stats from this year to try and find the source of our problem. Rugby league is a simple game I thought. Carry the ball forward and make ground right?
We come 14th for Total Run Metres https://www.nrl.com/stats/teams/?competition=111&season=2022&stat=1000037
But we come 9th for All Runs https://www.nrl.com/stats/teams/?competition=111&season=2022&stat=1000038
So merging the two figures is pretty concerning

We are so far behind with average metres per carry. I for one have hoped that removing Brooks from the team would be our "get out of jail card" but on review of these horrible stats we need forwards with a strong carry. Otherwise it will be another sorry year 🙁

Any forwards, especially middles that we recruit at present need to be high impact forwards.
In memory of Geoff Chisholm (1965-2022)
@mickb spot on. agree 100%. I wonder if there are any stats on the number of 'one out' runs ie dummy half throws a pass and a forward (or in too many cases a back) takes up the ball into the teeth of the opponent's defence.I'd also love to know how our forwards 'offload' stats compare with other Clubs. I bet they would also be at the bottom of the ladder. Our forwards failure to anything but take the ball up has to be addressed as well. In defence our forwards stats for getting into position quickly and as a unit rushing up to deprive the opponents room to attack was probably near or at the bottom of the table. All these defects have to be addressed and worked on hard if WT are any chance of avoiding the wooden spoon next season.
Surprisingly we are 9th for offloads.
