Wests Tigers Harvey Norman Women’s captain, Christian Pio will play for City in the Women’s Open Age match on Thursday. She’ll be lining up against Kezie Apps, who is also a member of Wests Tigers inaugural NRLW team in 2023.

Wests Tigers Tarsha Gale captain, Jae Patu will represent City in the Women’s Under-19s on Sunday.

When Kezie came on you could see straight away what an athlete and great footy player she is. She turned country into a more stable side towards the end of the first half. Even nursing an injury she is a better foorballer that the others. WT 👍

@garry   A bit scrappy. With the disjointed season continuing on from last year it was expected. The players were basically selected from an inferior comp to that of the NRLW teams which hasn't started yet so it was a game similar to a trial of the possibles v probables.I enjoyed it though.

One thing that raised my eyebrows was there was a young gun playing and she was 16yrs old.

They are seeking an exemption for her to play bigger and better things. How can this be, surely 16 isn't old enough. One might say that it's an inferior comp but she is playing against some big strong gals 🤔🧐
