@tiger5150 interestingly enough my favourite guitar I have given to one of my sons. It’s Canadian - Eagle I think. Beautiful action and lovely sound. Only mid range price wise but a beautiful guitar.
pity about your Maton. I bought mine because I played a mates Maton and it was unbelievable. Mine took two years of fairly consistent playing to work in andvreally develop a beautiful deep sound but now it’s simply amazing

Ive often thought about that, that it might be the fact I dont play it enough that its not right under my fingers, but Ive picked up other cheaper guitars and they play like butter straight away. Feel like I shouldnt have to work that hard with such an expensive instrument.

In a unrelated tangent, my (now) ex wife also gave me a long time ago a Jackson JDR 91 electric and over time I grew to not like it (lots of baggage). REcently I decided to basically rebuild it. I took a heat gun to it and completely stripped the finish to bare wood, refinished it with Tru Oil and last month put new Suhr pickups in it and had a professional tech set it up. Its basically a new guitar and plays better than any other guitar Ive had. I now LOVE it.

@tiger5150 looks awesome and a pretty cool skill. I am strictly an acoustic player - have rarely played an electric guitar. Sounds like you’re pretty passionate about it.
