Any guitarheads use an Audio Interface for recording? I just got one for Christmas and was wondering what people use.

Steinberg UR12, haven't heard the greatest reviews, but I thought it would be an ok starting point. Used a Guitar rig in the past but it stopped working.

oooohhhh now we are talking. I have a Scarlett 6i6 but not in love with it. I want to get a UA Apollo Twin but cant justify the $$$$ yet. Are plugging direct into the interface? Using Plugins? DAW?

Going to go direct to start with, going to try the Cubase AI software that comes for free with the UR12 and have a bit of play around with that before I purchase any software.

I have an Apogee jam to connect to my iPad. I also use Getaria wireless to connect rather than a cable. Don't know anything else I am an absolute beginner when it comes to guitar, I'm on my 'L' plates. lol.

I have played for a long time, but still consider myself an ordinary guitarist. I actually hadn't played in a number of years as it is hard to find the time with kids,  but picked it up during lockdown and it improved my mental health so much. Ended up buying a new electric, hadn't owned one in 15 years, as it allows me to play at night through headphones and not wake up my daughter.

Very cool. As far as DAW's go, for many years I have used Studio One as my DAW and it has been pretty good. VERY intuitive. Recently bit the bullet and forked out for Pro Tools and although it is NOT intuitive, once you learn where everything is, it IS the best and clearly why the Pro's use it.

As far as Plugins for guitar, I think the Neural DSP Plugins are the best, but I prefer offboard digital and I use a Fractal AX8 and I love it.

Ive been playing a long time, I should be a lot better than I am, but I love it. Played in some bigger cover bands in Sydney, some of the best rooms but now just a hobbie writing and recording my own stuff.

I played in a couple of cover bands back in my late teens, then stopped playing in my late 20's completely. Getting back into it now though.

I play a Maton 6 string acoustic. Plain, simple but with a beautiful deep sound. Amazing guitar. Pity about the guitarist lol

I have a Maton 6 string acoustic that my (now) ex wife bought me. I hate it, its really hard to play, terrible action. I always heard how good Matons are but this one has never felt right, Ive been tempted to sell it and buy something else.
