The whole setup of the Juniors, Wests Tiger etc is confusing. Seems like too many interests in it.
Does anyone know if the first-grade side gets out to the junior clubs much?
I reckon they should send a player out to them regularly.
30 players in the top squad - 34 clubs junior clubs.
I am definitely missing a lot of detail in this but it would be a good thing for the club to try and do more often. It would build a good relationship with the junior clubs and players.
Hopefully, create more Farahs and fewer Tedescos (loyalty wise).
There's a lot to be said about taking our young pathway players on tours and providing them with experiences they wouldn't normally get.
If managed right it will help mature and develop them into decent people
It will bring them closely together as a group
It will take them out of their comfort zone
And hopefully becomes an incentive attraction to stay or sign with us

It is a model cricket uses so maybe a Betsey initiative.

In the eyes of a young fella this would have to be right up there!
Great initiative, well done WT.

If this is something that Wests Tigers is doing that peer clubs in the west (Penrith, parra, bulldog) aren’t doing then it’s a great incentive for the young talent to come to our club. The idea of going on an international tour as a 16-18yr old would be a massive draw
This is the perfect role for Sheens and it is where he should have stayed, and kept out of everything thing else. The club management have been mistaken in making him GM.
I know we have some good up and coming players in certain positions eg prop, hooker, 2nd row but what about other positions? Any halves, fullbacks etc to be excited about?
Prop: Pole, Matamua
Hooker: Rua, DeSilva
2nd row: Tumeth
Lock: Rua
