I'm still sad to see Noffa fall from grace. At his best he was one of the best wingers going around. Thoughts anyone? 🤔

he has nearly always annoyed me…so I don’t see the hurt. Should never have been resigned. He will get picked up by someone probably by years end. But if he doesn’t he’ll be forever trapped on 99 career tries.

Laurie playing #6 in NSW Cup apparently.

Imagine DR, if Daino goes to KOE and is a revelation, totally killing it. Then after a few rounds he comes back to the NRL and turns out to be one of the best five eights in the comp and we start belting teams.

Did you notice I wrote one of one the best and not the best....well that's because my medication will eventually wear off. 😁

https://www.smh.com.au/sport/nrl/play-like-cody-walker-laurie-to-start-at-no-6-in-tigers-reserve-grade-20230420-p5d1zh.html

Its a weird article. The Headline reads he is playing in reggies, the authors says the "Laurie says" he will be in reggies, but nowhere in the many quotes given, does it say he will be in reggies. It says that they are going to play him at 6 but doesnt say in reggies. He is still named on the bench in firsts and not in the reggies squad.

I suspect the journalist might have assume he meant reggies but will be playing 6 in firsts off the bench. I hope Laurie is playing 6 in reggies, mainly because we need a stronger bench and I want Laurie to tear up in reggies at 6 before having a crack in firsts.

Well at least he won't have to diffuse very many bombs at ⅝ because he's crappy at catching high floaters.

Laurie was expected to play in the same game off the bench, his first NRL appearance since round three, but told the Herald he would feature in the curtain-raiser – and in the halves.

He better warm up those shoulders then, because he'll be getting lots of traffic coming his way.

If I was coach that's who I'd be targeting.

I would have liked to watch Laurie play 6  but can’t make it to the game. He is elusive so should go ok as a ball runner. Talau will also probably play in this game after the news of him signing for Manly. No way should he be allowed to play firsts against the club he has signed for.

Laurie was good. Made two mistake (1 forward pass & kicked dead once). Made a few breaks, last pass option needs improvement. Tackled well, put his shoulder into it. Did a lot of talking and directing traffic.

Blore was good. Strong runs. Gave a few offloads. Looked gassed at various stages, needed the 80 minutes, but never stopped trying.

Nofo had a decent game, didn’t set the world alight but was OK. Saved a try with a decent tackle. Still crabs across the field.

Edit: Seyfarth had a pretty good game as well.
