One word: roster. Sharks aren’t a roosters type club (they have no origin players) and they don’t have a giant junior base yet they have a forward pack full of big willing players, outside backs that are athletic, tall and fast and backup halves that come in and calve up. Not a kid in sight, but mid 20s aged players who want to win. They have a roster that has been built deliberately over a long time to fit within the cap and stay in the top 8 year after year. Everything that we are not.

From tonight there are only 2 starting backs I would keep in Galvin and Bula. Only 3 forwards in S. Fainu, Pole and Api.

The way this club is tracking we as tiger supporters better get use to finishing last. It may continue for another 3 or 4 years it doesn’t seem to matter what they do change coach ,squad admin . They are dunn and dusted as club
