we have cleared out the boardroom, time to clear out this squad.
we are not big enough, fast enough and strong enough to compete
Weirdly I’m not feeling too bad about that game. Apart from the limp start, which had us all expecting a 50 burger, the team competed pretty well, scored some nice tries and kept it interesting.
We’re relying on a lot of inexperienced players, and it cost us. But that was Matamua’s best game in first grade. Feledy was good. Fainu was excellent. Galvin played really well. Sullivan was good too. We didn’t deserve to win, but as always a few calls did not go our way. But I had this marked as a potential flogging, and instead we got back into the game after a terrible start and competed for long periods.
One word - Toyota. Final scoreline reminded me of the Toyota Cup days.
At least we have couple of weeks break before we go through this again
