@tiger5150 you make it out Brooks played a 2/10 game. If it wasn't for his backing up and speed we wouldn't have scored some of those tries.
Mate Ive been a Brooks supporter for a long time and Ive backed him in adversity. He had a 3 or 4/10 game, his third in a row and he is having his worst season ever, in his 11th season. Yes he backed up well and made a good break at the end that enabled a couple of trys. Its funny that you previously put a "caveat" on Wakehams performance that it was against tired opposition but when Brooksy backs up and makes a break against tired opposition ahead by 20 its verification of Brooks.
Brooks literally snuffed out 3-6 attacking plays prior to that, again, like many many previous games. Passes behind or above a player under pressure, kicking dead, taking a hit up on the last. I simply cant defend this level of performance and it is not a one off. It is every week. The only thin ghtat is keeping Brooks from reserve grade is the fact that AD is worse. Even so its a close run thing.

He even fixed the fullback position albeit we did lack spark , because he was so tired .
He’s a centre , maybe a fullback , who’s got a really good kick on him .
Brooks well , who knows with him. He’s too much of a confidence player .
@tiger5150 because if Moses doesn't come brooks will be signed as the 6 mate. Once a deal is done they can restructure the deal etc like a chris Lawrence situation potentially pay some of it in 2023 cap. I would say 90% sure Brooks will be here in 2024
What is holding him back from signing? His value drops each week. Could it be the Tigers baulking?
surely anyone looking at the situation can see the best thing for both Brooks and the club is to part ways. It’s not working out for anyone and that’s okay.
On his game today. Yes he did some good things but for every good thing he did two bad things. The run himself on the last was an inexcusable play by a first grade half who’s played almost 200 games.

Don't particularly think the club is baulking mate, but hey if you wish hard enough it might happen and he doesn't get re-signed

Im with you on this. Feel the same way about Brooks TBH. Wakeham is a certainty for 7 IMO and Im not sure how safe brooks is.

Brooks has been steadily declining for 5 years. A change in coach, who is backing him to the hilt, a forward pack making metres better than ever in that time and probably the best number 9 in the world feeding him and he has gotten worse. Its not confidence. Its declining ability IMO.

Mate you go back and re-read all of my posts searching *Brooks. Ive probably been his second biggest supporter here. I think it is very quickly becoming totally irrelevant what Luke Brooks and Isaac Moses want. I wonder how many other offers are on the table for Luke Brooks? If I was Luke Brooks I would be paying Mitchell Moses TPA.

Think the hold up is likely Isaac playing games with tigersbut that is just my opinion there tbh.
Other point is not much else out there mate unless you want Williams and the problem there is transfer fees.

Today he was a 1/10. Totally inept and hopeless performance for 70 minutes and Wakeham made him look decent the other 10. Brooks can run fast, that's it. He can't do anything else.

If Moses doesnt come, it doesnt matter what Brooks or Isaac Moses wants. no need to sign Brooks for months. If another club "swoops" in and offers him more than $350K, let him walk.
