I thought Luke brooks showed he’s a 6. He was good today , but he’s so erratic . And that energy the team fed off today . We needed a steadying hand . Someone ! Anyone !
I noticed Laurie was hooked for the wing today for Staines . I thought Laurie went ok with the ball in hand , but he absolutely killed his outside men in attack .
I think brooks and Ice isn’t working .
and the execution around the right wasn’t there as wel .
we really should have scored 5 or 6 tries , yet we wal away with a 14 12 loss .
I thought API was our worse player on the field .
He killed our attack so many times .
it isn’t clicking at all . But it is round 2 . So there’s still time .

I hope he wasn’t watching.Anyone that says Moses isn’t worth the money because he goes missing at crunch moments, please rewatch this game. Our halves were missing for the full 80mins. I’d take Moses for 70mins then these other two for 10. Even gamble showed that he is better, and he isn’t even a nrl top 8 half. The only sliver of positive out of that game is that Hastings was nothing special and wouldn’t have made a difference if he was in our colours today.

‘Nowhere near the worst’ is not acceptable for one of the highest paid players in the game. He has no idea what he’s doing, zero football intelligence.

In summary: we played without a halfback today. Douhie is really dangerous with the ball but has some work to do to help those around him play better. I am not a brooks hater but swap him with our reserve grade 7 and we are 2 from 2. Benji and Sheens had all offseason to reprogramme Brooks and he looks exactly the same. Put a fork in him.
I thought we certainly lacked organisation in the attacking areas but I really think a good fullback would help our attacking woes. There’s not a lot of strike out there and a good, experienced fullback would help with that, I think the halves would be better too but unfortunately we don’t have that. I like Daine Laurie, he’s a competitive bugger, but he’s not the answer. I’d like to see Staines in next week and Junior Topou on the wing, not going to help much but I think they deserve a shot at those positions.
This is where the leadership group will be tested too, they’ve got to get these guys up again and somehow find a way to win a game of footy. Seems to me they’ve forgotten how to win.

Hastings went up to TT to apologies, and TT pushed him and got up in his face. Then Klemmer came over and gave Hastings a gob full.
Thought it was really bad form from our guys. Sore and ungracious losers. If they were so unhappy, could of put that energy out on the field instead of being hero's afterwards

Just an awful football team. Absolutely embarrassing to lose in those circumstances today.
We will be lucky to win a game unless we improve 2000%.
I'm honestly in shock at just how bad they've been two weeks in a row.
Just got home from the game. I was disappointed last week, this week shattered. I dont see how we win a game to be honest. It is so disheartening because across the park , we have better players. Young guys like Kepaoa have stepped up and literally we should be a better team. Stupid errors and panic.
Laurie showed a lot of guts today and made some very tough runs and often made a lot more ground than he should, but then lets kicks bounce and murderous his outside men.
I actually thought Brooks had a above average game today with some good plays, line break that could have resulted in a try without the professional foul, 40/20, some great defence but as others have said, that panic play ultimately sits on the halves.
AD ran well but is simply not a half. He stifled the attack more than he helped, a bad defensive error. Good footballer, but where?
Brent Naden becoming my favourite player. Really plays with his heart on his sleeve and runs hard. A rare ray of light.
Thank god for Klemmer. If it was an actual swap for Hastings we won out big time. I think today showed how the squad feels about Hastings. Personally happy he is gone.
Api looked to be playing a different game to everyone else today. The way he runs out of DH and engages the defence is brilliant, but Im not sure the rest of the team is in sync. Actually Brooks did seem to combine well with Api but the others dont.
I actually have a nagging feeling that one day it will click and we start winning, but Im not positive.
A massive concern I have is the lack of a structure to our attack. it just seems to be speed and ball through the hands. No decoys, nothing tightening the defence and the opposition just slides until the centre and wing are out of room.
