@the-last-ronin dude they changed the rule at the start of the year that any part of your arm could force the ball for downward pressure . It was literally in thier press release before the season started .
And they’re not even following their rule adjustments .
That was a try by the new definitions of the rule . It missed his hands and he applied downward pressure with the arm.
of course he meant to do it , which is the whole point they changed the rule . I’m with sheens on this , not so mu CJ for last nights tries , but for the ones we’ve been robbed this year , of which as usual there’s numerous , and the ones we will be robbed in the future .
He’s trying to change the narrative around us in the referee circles . Because I think it’s obvious that teams like us have an unconscious bias against us with ref adjudication.
The try after the final whistle last year is literally a case study on this fact .
@lestronge I’m aware of the rule change. I feel his hands touched it first which would be a knock on. I understand what you are saying but I see it differently to you and sheens
C L I N I C A L !!!
What I’ve learnt over the years mate is not to look forward to far. But just if we can build from this performance, will be a start for me. Canberra are two weeks away. I’m really loving the combinations right across the park and the last piece of the puzzle with join back in at centre. Happy times ahead 🤞🤞….and toes ✔️Maybe 8th is not totally out of the question
Just had a look at ladder predictor
We can only afford 3 more losses for the year to make the 8
I had us drop Raiders, South's and sharks
But needing to beat storm, Raiders during origin
@the-last-ronin yep , and I totally understand how you can feel that way . I guess I’m interpreting it the way the rules state it should be .
Just for reference that was a knock on last year . And I would have agreed with that .
downward pressure should just be that . “It missed his hands and it rolled after the pressure” shouldn’t be a variable . Anyways I respect your opinion .
Brought tears to my eyesNo it wasn’t a dream.

Yep, noticed at the ground. Smart thinking by Pole. He made sure he was well away from the play.Anyone else notice Pole backing his way out of the defensive line on Junior Tupou’s 2nd try? Really smart play making sure the obstruction call was taken right out of play. Everyone played well tonight but when you see players doing the little things you know they are on.
You have to have both feet behind the kicker to be onside in a kick chase. Luciano was at least 2 meters in front of the kicker. Luciano was way offside.looking at the replay I think Luciano was onside on the kick
Disagree. I managed to freeze frame it as the boot touched the ball. LL was 2mtrs offside. You have to have both feet behind the kicker to be onside in a kick chase. It‘s tight but I think he’s onside just. He’s definitely not 2 metres offside.

funny because I freezed it at that point as well and it looks line ball. The kicker is two metres from the line marking in the ground. Anyhow doesn’t matter it was a great performance by the team that negated any possible error anyway
Can’t stop watching this. The best try of the game was the last…

@jedi-tiger id say they were practicing it at training , and for whatever reason it didn’t have the polish in it . I think it really relies on Bula Running no fear through the middle of the field .
Laurie and AD would run something similar a couple of years ago , but it didn’t have the panache and “wtf was that” shell shock the one last night did .
It had everyone wearing a cowboys emblem looking around for someone to blame .
It was right up there with the play we ran against them in the semis in 05 where benji put Hodgo through . In terms of Looking around for answers . Chefs kiss
That Hodgson try is one of my all time favourites. A simple step by Benji but Hodgson times his run to perfection.
