@eastiemagpie he’s just in the way unfortunately . Father Time remains undefeated. There’s young , hungry , dare I say more skilled kids being held back .
It does suck though that you can’t stick with guys like him . He deserves to be in a great footy team .
I don't buy that, he should be our starting 13.

@garry yea … can’t disagree on tonight’s performance.
With Blore , Matamua , the SG ball captain , even edges like Tumeth , I’d say the worry is that we might not be able to cash in on his contract like we can right now . The eels are desperate for middle players . They have nothing outside Paulo . And it’s very apparent now. Even RCG isn’t the same player if he’s not following a iPap and Paulo run .
But if the rumour that this was a show us why game for offa ,is true , then yea , Joffa should be kept . And eels need to be told maybe Shaun Blore or such might be a better option.
I guess it all depends on what the reason the tigers are considering it is .
Is it money ? He’s holding back players ? We need the roster spot for a Schuster type ?
I mean the last one , we should move on Laurie if we’re honest . Well before Joffa . But the rest kind of make sense if you squint your eyes a bit lol
He was definitely tearing up after the try and at full time. Has always played with passion. If he goes, then it is with genuine best wishes to him and his family.
Joffa always plays hard, he will be a big loss. I still can’t work out why we let a bloke who works his backside off every game leave.
I hope we don't let Joffa go. - I can't see any logic in it
As Garry has said, he should be starting at 13
He is the best 13 in the club and can ball play.
His hands on the first Nofo try were exquisite.
Thought Pole had much more impact off the bench as well. A no brainer imo.
Toa has been really impressive this season, but that tonight was another level. Great stuff. Will be a shame to lose him over the origin period.
just watched a replay that Bateman try was sensational
That last try was the best one of the night.
Fast passing, through the middle, involved all spine players, beautiful
Hopefully this is a turning point, where things have clicked and we can go on a run
When you look at the ladder, it's still wide open
Top 8 2023
Big things tonight was that attack was Tim Sheens sides in a bottle. Really reminded me of 2005.

our forwards should put us in the contest well and truly against Canberra, and they may be without Young or Horborough, at CSS we have to be a pretty good chance.
Then gold Coast away then Melbourne minus origin players Grant Munster etc at CSS
Maybe 8th is not totally out of the question
Based of tonight's game has Freddy got Brook's number :p
Maybe 8th is not totally out of the question
Just had a look at ladder predictor
We can only afford 3 more losses for the year to make the 8
I had us drop Raiders, South's and sharks
But needing to beat storm, Raiders during origin
