Probably too late for this weeks podcast, but my word for this week is belief.
That win I hope gets all the new guys, Api, Papali'i, klem etc to believe and buy in that this team can be special and something to be proud of. Could give this whole club a belief that they are on the right track.
That win should give the fans belief. Belief that Sheens/Benji can and will get the best out of this squad. Belief that these players can be asomething special and at least get us to the 8 (maybe not this year).
IMO this is the best team we have had since 2011 and possibly before that. With the rise of Toa, there is literally no one in the squad I want gone and that includes Joffa (Talau probably the exception with at least one half).
Took me a couple of days to really digest Saturday's game. I wasn't expecting it and was absolutely blown away. One of the best performances i've seen in a decade.
Bula is an absolute superstar and it's no coincidence we're playing better since he came into first grade.
Nofo and Junior Tupou both awesome.
To'a was superb. Him and Naden are surely our long term centre pairing.
Brooks sensational. Passing game, running game, kicking game. Was all working for him. Really good game - I think even better than the Penrith game to be honest. If he keeps playing at that level i'll be his biggest defender. Wakeham is playing above his salary. Pass to Tupou for the try was superb.
Api was unreal as always.
The forward pack is just an incredible bunch of players who are working incredibly well as a unit. Bateman was immense and he's my absolute favourite player. A complete gun who makes the players around him better.
That last try was one of the most perfect pieces of play i've seen in a very long time.
