How anyone can say that they are happy with what Brooks produced in that game is beyond me.
At the end of the day we scored 0 points.
The ball carrier was not supported today for large chunks of the game. Bateman, Paps and Twal made half breaks but there was no support.
@doug-heffernan yep. We are never pushing up with the ball player so when they look for someone no one’s there. A heap of opportunities for an offload today but we’re too busy preparing for the next play
@mike that's true mike, not disagreeing at all.
I'll change tac here by saying, and I'll prob cop some flac here, I only wish that Sheens and Benji/Robbie were in control earlier. I am seeing a change, a positive one in all aspects of play.
The club is trying to sort out our halves issue and I think there has been subtle changes to our attack in the red zone but considering that our current halves haven't played together that much I'm thinking it will take a few more games together to take a more positive stance in attack.
It is what it is. We can't crucify our halves. All we can do is hopefully see a steady improvement.
As I said before it was top of the table v bottom. I was expecting an inform Souths to belt us.
If we can't see that we are improving then we have blinkers on.
So sad. I looked at the score on my iphone at 70 minute mark and we trailed 8-0.
Fulltime and it’s 20-0
Nothing changes
@dirty-reds Top of the table v bottom of the table.... I'm happy with that effort.
We need to be aiming higher than viewing things through the lens of a bottom of the table team - otherwise we'll stay there.
The red zone attack is historically bad, and shows zero signs of improving. It's a huge concern.
@the-last-ronin I get it mate but what your saying isn't really fitting this rebuild. Your obviously disappointed with the result, I get that but I'm not.
Let's leave it there.
I'm having my first beer in 8 months, nothing can upset me atm 🤣
Last year we prob got belted 50-0.
We beat Souths last year at a similar point in the season
What did you expect dirty reds? Did you think today was a huge let down. Come back to earth major tom, it is what it is 🙂The red zone attack is historically bad, and shows zero signs of improving. It's a huge concern.
We are improving week in week out. I actually thought today there were improvements than in the Panthers game. Winging about the halves is going to give us ulcers, it is what it is atm. Why do we forumers keep stating the obvious 🤔
@mike A lot of sewage has gone under the bridge since then.
I'm not making excuses mike, far from it.
Brooks defence was good today but we didn’t score a point, and never looked like scoring. That’s on both halves.
Johnson at 7 and Schuster or Walker at 6 and we’re a completely different side.
it must be so frustrating for the forwards.
@crowsnest I disagree that we are improving. Our red zone attack has been poor all year and isn’t getting better. We beat Penrith in the wet with a good wet weather performance and some luck going our way, we just beat the Dragons who were very poor and really should have scored at the end to win it. A couple of wins have covered up how poorly we are going and it’s mainly one crucial area. I’m disappointed with the entire season not just this one game.
maybe, but Josh would be having a spew at the half way line while his mates are in the red zone. He's a Moses Suli all over.Johnson at 7 and Schuster or Walker at 6
