Let's have something exciting and feel good to discuss!

The Rugby League World Cup is starting in October.

The world cup is my favourite football.

Wests Tigers could have a few players involved including:

Lebanon - AD & Twal

NZ - Kenny, Papali'i, Ute

Samoa - Nofa, Brown, Musgrove

Tonga - Joffa,

England - Hastings, Gildart

And possibly some bolters...

Top 8 2023

Hopefully with Fox picking up the coverage the World Cup will be given good media exposure.

The ARL needs to do a much better job of promoting the international game.

The Kangaroos have not played an international match for almost three year and that’s very poor.

The Chasing Kangaroos Podcast has picked up our interview with Joe Ofahengaue. Thanks to Michael Carbone and the guys at Chasing Roos for the honour of being a guest contributor to their wonderful pod.

Samoa never even called Tino….

“There wasn’t actually a phone call from anyone from the Samoan side of things,” he said.

“I thought that was a little bit strange to be honest but we talked about it as a family anyway and Australia were the ones that called me.

Parrish has been a rubbish coach for a long time. there has been a push to get rid of him from Samoa for a while and recently there was a push by the Johns brothers to coach them.

@tiger5150 agree. Somoa were disappointing last 2 WC under Parish.

Samoa should of taken John's bros and SBW.

Apparently Parish has friends in high places within Samoan admin

Parish has friends in high places in NSW RL, his family are like RL royalty, particularly around Balmain. IMO has over achieved as player at Balmain and as a coach all over the world (and he has achieved nothing).

Was great to see Rua Ngatikaura get onto the field for Cook Islands for a half game from the bench.
Played well had 2 tries denied by the referees.

Can’t remember what his injury was but good he is back on the field & hopefully ready for pre-season.

ACL from memory. Were his 2 trys barge overs from DH? In the short time Ive seen him play he looks to me to have white line fever (probably caught it off Nu Brown).

Yeah they were from dummy half.

Just held up in the first one, second got called back for a incorrect play-the-ball (harsh call I thought; seen worse).

But hey if he scores tries when he comes on who cares... definitely has the body type that could well do that dual running lock role also.
