A lady today noticed I was a Wests Tigers supporter and started to talk to me about her brother. He played in the lower grades for Wests Tigers. At 18 he had the opportunity to be in the NRL squad. Before the final step he had to pass a medical. Unfortunately, but also somewhat fortunately, they found an aneurism and so he could not continue playing. He was given the chance to do an internship with the Wests Tigers and took it. Unfortunately the aneurism was still there and claimed him at the age of 24. His sister was so grateful that she got to spend an extra 6 years with him because of the Wests Tigers medical.

Now sometime early, as it happens, he had brothers who just happened to be at the school where Mrs Brooks was. The lady asked was she any relation to Luke, she said yes, she was Luke’s mother. Mrs Brooks attended the 24 year old’s funeral.

The story continues. Now this lady was in the law industry. It just so happened Zoe Marshall was at a conference attended by this lady. They were seated next to each other and got on well. This lady didn’t connect the dots to Benji. The lady and Zoe became friends, the lady still didn’t connect the dots. The lady attended Zoe’s book launch and Benji was there. The lady still didn’t connect the dots until Zoe introduced Benji as her husband… face plant. This lady and Zoe remain friends.

Now I didn’t reveal this lady or her brother’s name because i didn’t ask permission to write this. I just found the story fascinating.
