@tigersteve ..some talk today of giving Green a break and playing another spinner, the leggie from QLD. To me Green looked pretty good with the ball and could by handy at the MCG. Maybe three quicks and two spinners might be interesting

Yeah just heard Steve smith say the performance team told him not to bowl Green at all today. For crying out loud it’s a bloody test match!! Can’t stand this high performance crap - over analysis of statistics gone mad!

But - if it’s Swepson, then I’d love to see him given a crack but I really want the selectors to back Green. He could be the all rounder we have been looking for.

Australia were on top for basically every session yet the Poms got pretty close to holding off for a draw. I guess when you think we lost our two best bowlers before a ball had been bowled it was a pretty good effort.

Poms remind me of the Tigers, a couple of class players, a couple of old players who are on the slide and the balance are plodders. Still got me beat that half the UK population has roots from the sub continent and they can’t find a spinner. Anyway always good to beat the Poms at anything especially cricket

They worked out how to bowl in Australia for about an hour and then lost the plot

How do players like Broad and Anderson after multiple tours of Australia not know what lines to bowl and then not tell the blokes on the virgin tour of Australia what line works

Cmon Steve , all those runs Green is scoring must be getting tiresome for the young bloke

Bradman ,Miller and Lindwall would have only played 2 tests a series under the current regime , complete and utter insanity

I really hope they dont do this. Green hardly bowled in Adelaide and when he did he looked good. I actually think the current set up is the best we have had with 3 GREAT quicks with at least two good ones as back up, a good young all rounder, a GOAT spinner and Labuschagne & Smith able to provide 10-15 overs of genuinely tricky leggies.

Is Zampa the forgotten man in the Australian Test squad ?? How does Swepson jump him in the line ??

Yeah you have to persevere with Green , especially if we wrap up the Ashes in Melbourne Would be a shame to throw out someone with his obvious talent

Very hard to work on flaws while in the middle of the series with Tests coming back to back like they are

I think Swepson has amazing potential as a test cricketer. I’m saying that, I’m not really across Zampa’s shield form. I see him more as a short form specialist, but that’s based on only watching him play short form cricket

I agree with all the above comments. I love watching Aussies win but I must admit to being disappointed at the lack of fight in the Poms. Have been looking forward to the ashes Sydney test for 2 years now and in all likelihood it will be 3-0 and series done by then.

Screw that .. roll them for 50 every innings..

Sad news about David Lloyd

https://www.msn.com/en-au/sport/cricket/david-bumble-lloyd-leaves-sky-sports-after-22-years-in-commentary-box/ar-AAS1q13?ocid=ASUDHP

Not many good commentators left..

We were spoilt for so long with Ritchie and co..

Can’t stand Warne one of the greatest players no doubt but his commentary is so demeaning of the current team it reeks of arrogance..

the less said about 7 the better..

@unhappy-tiger Not sure what is happening there, a lot of the sky sports team have packed their kit and headed off.

Interesting to see the replacements that are drafted

Apart from Warne’s massive ego filling every space, I really enjoy the Fox coverage. Think Junior has really stepped up.

Funny thing is Warnie has the best cricketing brain of them all in my opinion. Loved Warne with chappelli on channel 9 when the were together. But when he was teamed up with Slater an hour later he tried to play the fool.

Maybe chappelli took him aside and told him not to be a dh with him on air.

Agree with all that, my problem with Warne this year is he is letting his personal agendas impact his commentary.
