The thing about Luai that I really, really like and appreciate is that he never gives up. That’s the sign of a true champion and you can see it starting to permeate through the whole squad. He is absolutely worth every cent we paid for him.

Great to be able to listen to the two new pods today whilst at work. Made me cringe hearing my name and what I wrote in the heat of the moment after a win.Maybe a tad too critical and that’s with no beers in me!
But thats just what they can bring out in us.
I have to say I was definitely critical on the coaching and the captaincy of Luai on game day.
But I am a massive fan on both guys, I want Benji there in 5 years and think he needs help if that is to happen. And I also stated on a post somewhere that Luai might not be captains material. I’ll take that one back for sure. Without him we don’t win that game. No he wasn’t best on the field but it’s what he brings to the team is why I couldn’t wait to see him in our jersey in the first place. His passion and will to win is second to none and without that we wouldn’t have won. I also agree his attack was best of the season for him. So sorry Romey!

Loved the pods and seeing all your perspectives, biggest thing I disagreed with however was when the coach said the 2005 GF win was a fluke. No it wasn’t, we had the team and the style of play that could put any side away on our day! Much deserved win imo!

I agree with Adel on this one, the 4 years before 2005 we missed the 8, the 4 years after 2005 we missed the 8. Winning the whole thing in 2005 is the definitions of fluke.

Welcome to the forum mate.
