Lee is only interested in himself. Pascoe is too much of a lightweight to be an NRL ceo. We need someone far more capable than him.

As I asked before, what EXACTLY do you folks want him to do given he's not responsible for the football side? I'm not bothered by Pascoe either way but if we'd won 5 straight no-one would be calling for his head.

Feel free to blame the coach, assistant coaches, players, Sheens or anyone else who's job it is to get results on the pitch, but sacking Pascoe would be like sacking the plumber because the power points don't work.

Sure why not, I mean it’s not like we haven’t fired Coach before or put a broom through the playing roster, for the oh! I don’t know how many time’s.

For the third time, what EXACTLY do you want him to do?  And while we're at it, explain what difference it will make to our performance next week.

This is why fans shouldn't make decisions about the club - too much emotion and not enough critical thinking.

I'm not against change, but targeting Pascoe will do absolutely nothing for our football.

Alright and like I’ve already stated I want him gone.

So in “layman terms” our so called Chief Executive Officer has done absolutely nothing to improve our standings within the NRL.

If anything his turned it into a long running joke within the NRL fraternity as a poorly run club hence the constant media attention etc.

500-1 now for the Premiership ...has any club in the NRL era been at these odds so early in a season ???

The way commentators talk about the club as well .....if this isn't an all time low ......but I can see it getting far , far worse

I cant ever remember feeling so disconsolate about my club. The darkest days of the Alan Jones coached Balmain Tigers were better than these days. How do fans of the 99 Magpies feel?

This is the lowest point which says a lot considering the Lamb coached era, Jason Taylors days etc etc.

Ive been a long term Madge supporter as well as Brooks. I cant see how either can stay. We have zero clue on the field. Its not effort. In the main part the boys are putting in and our improved defence is testament to attitude, but in attack it literally looks like none of these guys have met each other. There are NO set moves or attacking plans other than block plays. No support, runners can time a run, dummy halves and halves cant time a pass.

What the hell do these guys do all week?

Do you see you still haven't answered the key question of what he should do? None of what you says has any impact on how we perform on the field. He's an administrator, not a football coach or player. let's look at your other points.

You believe he's done 'absolutely nothing' but he's fixed our finances, gotten us into the black, overseen the building of the Centre of Excellence and has significantly improved our membership and sponsorships. None of these things can be ignored because you don't like him.

Our performances on the field is what attracts media attention. There are also some journos who like to kick us while we're down and love the fact we generate very high numbers of clicks and viewers. This has nothing to do with Pascoe - the media will write what they want regardless.

It's fine you don't like him - a bit like Avo with Nofo - but outside of having a clear, defined reason it's simply not a logical position to hold. As I said in another post, if we'd won five straight and were getting glowing media reports would anyone be calling for his head?  Of course not - so why are we doing it now when he's not responsible for on field performance?

Just to be clear I'm not happy with the on field performances either, but if we're going to make changes they need to be intelligent and scrutinised changes, not emotional and mis-directed ones.

The problem is our attack plays against our defence at training.

Jokes aside, we have players in key positions who simply aren't up to standard. Some of Madden, Brooks and Peachy's passing is terrible. I don't know, maybe the runners aren't timing their runs properly but I'm sick of seeing the ball hit the deck on simple plays.

I'm not on for rash decision either and I'm not a pascoe hater.

But, to answer your question,  if you are looking for ways Justin Pacoe has impacted the on field performance of the team there are many - including:

- the way he handled farah situation where we paid farah to play at souths plus he directly resulted in $700k salary cap penalty over 2 years (also suspending for 6 months)

- let cleary sign 4 or 5 long term overpriced contracts we are still dealing with (currently paying mybe 4-500k to play at the dragons) - pascoe should of had a more thorough QA process in place

- no appointment of a strong GM football only until this year

- lack of investment in junior pathways only until now

- I'm told he directly badly managed a number of contract signings- including teddy, Ryan papa, etc

His management of the club has directly resulted in the team playing with a salary cap of around 400k less for the last 4 or 5 years due to his breach of paying out bad contracts he's admin oversaw.

At the end of the day his job is to oversee running of the football club - to say he's not accountable for the football department shows why he shouldn't be in the job. The business is the business of football.

Yes he's made money - but imagine how much more we make if we are successful

Top 8 2023

The Farah/Souths situation was because Taylor wanted him gone and it became untenable. If there was an error made by Pascoe it was not getting rid of Taylor earlier.

Re signings; again, should the CEO have veto over the coach? Many people were happy with the signings we made. Would you prefer Mbye was still playing here? This is part of the cleaning our process and sometimes difficult things need to be done.

I'm not familiar with the Football GM or junior pathways situation so can't comment

Teddy was going anyway, Paps went because he thought Teddy was staying. I believe Hartigan was more neglectful with contracts than Pascoe.

No question on the salary cap breach but it has been widely acknowledged as a technicality as every other team does it (but in secret).

He's not the one running the team - sacking him isn't going to make the team perform better. If it would I'd be happy for him to go.

This sums it up for me. In fact i said last night after the game to @NZTiger was all that was missing was Brian Smith and Will Robinson. 93 and 94 was the worst Tigers team i ever saw. Now I'm not so sure.

I just don't see any thing to get our hopes up about. No blind optimism at all.

As @unhappy says above this is going to get worse, a lot worse i feel.

Ive never felt this disinterested iny team as much as i do now, we dont have anything REMOTELY threatening in attack. How can we get so lifeless. I just be revisiting some games of balmain im the late 90s and they were not a good team but every play has players running multiple lines with inside and putside balls and run arounds and trick shots galore. The current team cant even have two players coming up with one play with something creative. WTF ARE THEY GETTING PAID HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS TO DO EVERY WEEK !!

Also why do other teams have 2 or 3 decent players in most positions but we have maybe one half of a good one and then we have blokes that look like they just came from having a few beers at the local.

This is unacceptable.

Brian Smith was 10 x the halfback Brooks is, incredible passing and kicking game, just scared of contact. He could have been a great halfback if he wasnt scared of getting hurt. Brian Smith and Brooks are like the exact opposites of each other.

I also think we should be the only team the NRL secretly encourages to take performance enhancing substances.
