Wests Tigers multimillion-dollar re-signing spree has continued with the game’s brightest prospect Heamasi Makasini inking a new deal to remain at the club.

It is understood Makasini has re-signed with the club for a further two years rejecting any prospect of returning to rugby union in the short-term.

The multimillion-dollar extension means Makasini will join the likes of high profile players Terrell and Taylan May, Sunia Turuva and Jahream Bula to recommit to the club long-term following the loss of Jarome Luai to PNG.

once again our record for wins before the bye is terrible also. But if they can somehow scrounge out a win then I’ll be impressed.

Our city is set to strengthen its future as a major sporting destination, with Council last night supporting a long-term agreement with the Wests Tigers to secure elite rugby league to Campbelltown for up to 15 seasons.

It was great to hear from Shaun Mielekamp, Wests Tigers Interim CEO at the Public Forum to reaffirm the club's commitment to Campbelltown.

Under the agreement, the Wests Tigers would bring more elite rugby league to Campbelltown through additional NRL and NRLW home games, a dedicated annual Campbelltown Round, and expanded community programs, youth pathways and grassroots initiatives across the city.

This long-term commitment is about more than game day. It will help support local businesses, create new opportunities for young people, and strengthen community pride across Campbelltown.

The extensions of these players are only the beginning of the Tigers retention spree, with the club now locked into talks to offer both Samuela and Latu Fainu, along with rookie centre Heamasi Makasini, long-term deals. (telegraph)

Latu will be much more dynamic in attack and is a decent defender - we’ll get a rise vs. sticking with Hope. Need to bash Manly and put them off their game.
